Security Seals Online and B-Sealed collaborated with our suppliers to introduce an environmentally-friendly solution to the market - biodegradable plastic seals. By incorporating BioSphere's unique additive, the plastic has an improved ability to biodegrade in both aerobic and anaerobic environments. It's important to note that this is not the same as oxo-degradable plastics, which generate micro-plastic waste when broken down into smaller pieces by other additives.

The inclusion of BioSphere's biodegradable plastic additive enables microbes to secrete acids and break down the plastic seals into base elements such as CH4, CO2, biomass, and water. This additive significantly speeds up the biodegradation process by introducing key features to the polymer that enhance the microbes' ability to consume the plastic.
